A vibrant and healthy fellowship and community is place where we all are able to come and know we belong. Where there is kindness, empathy, charity, compassion, forgiveness, willingness to be honest, discreet, share with confidence, and keeping in confidence those things we share one with another. All of us are walking our own spiritual paths and experiencing our own spiritual journey - however, it is not meant for us to do so alone. We strive to be complete, unified, and in harmony because of the pure love of Christ.

Day 17 – Fellow Travelers and Authentic Fellowship
The call for us to go forward with faith and purpose is also a call for us to gather in small groups. This is the reason for Sunday school classes, weeknight youth activities, scripture study groups like those for single adults studying the Old Testament. Men gathering together in fellowship. Women gathering together in fellowship. Doing so, we experience the presence of Christ because when we are gathered in His name - he is there in the midst with us (Matthew 18:20).
Day 13 – Engage in Meaningful and Mindful Worship
Meaningful and mindful worship begins when we are authentic and accurate in our attitude toward Heavenly Father. He is pleased by our thoughtfulness toward Him. Reflecting on his nature, desiring to become more like Christ, sanctified and holy. We are called to be holy as he is holy, perfect as he is perfect, and through Christ, we are perfected unto God.
“Worship the Lord thy God”
Today, our religious worship requires something more. It requires our sincere reverence and gratitude. It is a sacrifice of our own self and will. Such sacrifice comes when we call upon God, through Jesus Christ on a daily basis
Authentic Worship in Spirit and Truth
With my natural eyes, I often see my struggles as huge obstacles and my chances of overcoming them as slim. I am easily overwhelmed. I know my limitations, and God's omnipotence seems distant. When I acclaim Him, as the psalm says, I shed those earthbound illusions. My worship brings me into the light of His presence and reminds me of who He really is. It radically alters my perspective. Where I once thought my struggles were real and my God might be illusory, I realize that my Heavenly Father is real and my struggles are illusory.
My Heart and a Song
In my own spiritual journey - I have found that deliverance comes twice. First, a worshipful heart has risen above oppressive circumstances, even when those circumstances remain. It is an inward liberation that I find deep joy regardless of what's happening on the outside. Secondly, a resolved, singing heart finds deliverance in a God who responds. He frequently invades circumstances and scatters our enemies, sometimes dramatically. The wait may be long and the victory is sure. God does not remain silent in His love when I do not remain silent in my worship.
Worship is Our Act of Service
I appeal to you therefore, brothers,by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.~ Romans 12:1, ESV ~ Worship is not part of the Christian life, it is the Christian life~ Gerald Vann ~ I have come to learn that a… Continue reading Worship is Our Act of Service
Praise Him
Praising God is a spiritual discipline we ought to develop and grow. Giving thanks in the morning as we take time to ponder and meditate his will for our life. Coming to him at days end and thanking him for the day and the challenges we faced.
Authentic Worship in the Christian Life
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him. ~ Proverbs 15:8, ESV ~ Wisdom begins with the fear of God (see, Proverbs 9:10). To understand this, we ought to concern ourselves with whom God truly is. It begins with our immersion into reading Holy Writ.… Continue reading Authentic Worship in the Christian Life
Where has all of God’s Worshipers Gone?
Growing up in the Mormon Faith, I've come to appreciate the reverence of hymns. The mindfulness and thoughtfulness of people coming together and singing. I also remember my father turning the television on Sunday mornings and listening to the Music and Spoken Word. To-this day, children within the LDS community are taught to be reverent.… Continue reading Where has all of God’s Worshipers Gone?
This is His day and I will rejoice
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalms 118:24, ESV ~ Everyday we engage in recovery, let it be a day of celebration. This is what the 118th Psalm reminds us of. As we surrender our life and will over to a Sovereign God, we are given… Continue reading This is His day and I will rejoice
When we acknowledge our blessings
The Lord bless you and keep you. the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. ~ Numbers 6:24-25, ESV ~ We came into recovery, not realizing how demanding it is on our need to change. Because of this, we are left feeling… Continue reading When we acknowledge our blessings
