Day 19 – Restoring Broken Fellowships

The reality is that restoring broken relationships, to be reconciled with others, is quite a difficult task for us to undertake. Yet, it is significantly important to the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we are humble, sincere, contrite, and motivated by the spirit and love of God to go forth with faith and purpose to seek reconciliation.

When Despair Turns One Heavenward

I had to not only reach out to my Heavenly Father. I had to reach out through sincere brokenness of spirit. Mourning my own demise. Experiencing what scripture refers to as Godly grief over my own sins and transgressions. Detach myself from my own will and desire. I had to learn to listen and recognize his voice. I had to learn to live differently. Put aside my ego. Put away my own selfish will and desires.

Value of Spiritual Growth

The Gospel of Jesus Christ demands that I focus my attention toward healing and restoring my soul. Not toward analyzing another. For, when I look to another and ask how they are able to justify their behavior - I am walking in a spirit of condemnation. Another individual's life and behavior does not help me focus on my own struggles and difficulties.

This is the Time to Begin Your Personal Journey

Our Heavenly Father shows grace, mercy, and compassion toward us. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, He guides us. Through prayer and meditation, we receive personal revelation to help convict us and draw us closer to our promised land of peace and bounty. Through meditation upon the scriptures, we find inspiring examples of how God intervenes and moves people through their darkest and most trying moments of human experience. We find how God restores people who have been brought down to nothing and left in ruins.

Finding peace that is like unto a river
