Restoring True Masculinity

My own spiritual journey and recovery has shown what true masculinity is all about. The character and integrity. Finding joy, since happiness requires right circumstances, means to come to a place of experiencing life - regardless of the good, bad, and those ugly moments.

Day 15 – Engage in Meaningful Service and Ministry

Charity is the heart and soul of service and ministry. Without compassion and mercy, no other spiritual gifts have any purpose or meaning - not even our own faith in God. The Apostle concludes that there are three important things in our lives: Faith, Hope, and Charity. His conclusion is that Charity is the greatest of the three.

Self-Compassion and Kindness Begins with Patience

For me, I had to learn to be patient toward myself because I realized there was much healing needed to take place. Healing because I had not realized that much of the reason for being impulsive, compulsive, seeking approval of others was due to my self-invisibility and survival mode that had brought much dissatisfaction within my own life. My self-esteem was quite low.

Bear Ye One Another’s Burden

As I started connecting with others within the Christian faith, my own problems were brought into crystal clear focus. When I shared with others, and they shared with me, I found to give some thought and compassion toward them. Through our mutual bonding and sharing I was able to gain a peace of mind. Only because of the ability to sharing experience and hope that makes fellowship with others an important aspect for growing in faith and grace. My spiritual journey is not one I have to venture on alone.

Lending a Helping Hand

Who is our neighbor? Christ's response - those who stand in need. Those who are broken. The marginalized. The one's suffering and perishing. These are our neighbors. They are those individuals that Christ may send into our lives to bless.

A Working and Genuine Faith

Dare we imagine Christ saying to those whom he ministered "Go, have faith God will heal you." and turn his back on them? How dare we stand and shame and turn our backs toward those faithfully coming to us and seeking relief? Do you not understand how much courage and humility it takes for an individual to rise out of their own shame and guilt - hand outstretched and asking for sustenance, kindness, mercy, and grace?

On Being an Encouraging Person

We show kindness toward others. After all, isn't this what Jesus taught us to do? Show kindness and mercy to others? Is not what his teachings centered on - showing mercy, grace, kindness, and love toward others? How many more souls are we to save and add to the way when we show the same level of compassion, kindness, grace, and mercy toward others who are downtrodden, hopeless, and crumbling faith?

There is a deep rooted problem in society today. It appears that many people in our society has lost the art of speaking kindly to one another.
