~ JANUARY 4, 2020 DEVOTION ~
The root of every right decision is one’s character. Genuine words spoken stem from noble thoughts. Prayers are heartfelt and sincere. Christ-like character is forged on the anvil of honorable work. Polished by virtue and generosity. The basis of which is humility. Christ-like character is built over time through spiritual mindfulness and discipline.
It is a rare possession to have Christ-like character. It is quite difficult to build up. Yet, within moments – it is something that is easily torn asunder. As Christians, we seek to live each day with discipline, humility, honor, faith, and with genuineness. This is how we make a significant spiritual impact and influence. As we do, we build up a Godly integrity within our lives.
What weakens our character? When we are not willing to face up to our life’s challenges and problems with bold faith and courage.
~ TODAY’S PRAYER AND MEDITATION ~
Heavenly Father, the scriptures instructs me to walk in righteousness and truth. I desire to be a worthy servant who walks with Christ-like purpose each day. Help me manage my thoughts, my speech, and my behavior in order for my actions help others draw close to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
