Empowering and Bold Courageous Faith Moves Mountains

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

This leads us to some wonderful news. We don’t have to summon up enough faith to perform miracles. It isn’t about believing hard enough, trying hard enough. We only need faith the size of a mustard seed. It is our God who performs mighty deeds.

No matter the problems I am attempting to cope with, a major source of frustration and disappointment is attempting to encompass too much at once. As a human being, I forget that there is a need to deal with only one day at a time, and attempt to crowd too much into the waking hours of that day – or even extend beyond the point of weariness. Empowering and bold courageous faith in the smallest degree allows me the opportunity get more out of each passing moment. Thereby accomplishing more. If I attempt to cope with only as much as is possible in one day I am left disappointed in myself, others, and God.

I find such relaxed – and relaxing counsel – through my Heavenly Father’s wisdom for just today. My reminder is to focus on just today and live through this day only. Not attempt to tackle all my problems at once. I am only able to do smaller things and focus on those smaller steps and not attempt to resolve all problems in one day.

This encourages me to slow down my pace, especially when feeling overwhelmed and under pressure, and setting appropriate goals instead of in a constant state of panic, anxiety, and worry. Taking a time out, prayerfully and mindfully meditate and ground myself in the promise and authority of my Heavenly Father, I am able to bring and use a shovel to move mountains of problems I face.

Today’s Prayer and Meditation

Heavenly Father, help me remember that it is the smallest of faith that is used to move those mountains in my life. Through your wisdom and guiding counsel, I am able to focus on what needs to be done today without concern what tomorrow may bring. With you, I am able to exercise courageous bold and resilient faith to face my problems without fear and anxiety. In Jesus Name, Amen.
