Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. …
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
~ Matthew 5:14, 16, KJV ~
Regardless of how we live out our lives – we are role models. Based on the choices we make serves as an example for how others may emulate us. Hopefully, as we entrust our lives over to the care of our Heavenly Father, our choices reflect an honest and authentic truth of living righteously. An example that testifies of God’s sovereign and divine grace. The redemptive power of Christ’s infinite atonement. The power of forgiveness and humility. Gratitude and thankfulness. True traits and virtues of an honest and decent human being under the care and wise counsel of a gracious and loving Heavenly Father. These are enduring examples of spiritual abundance that is available to all who come unto Christ and follow Him. After all, Christ is the role model we strive to emulate in our everyday lives.
Meditate on how you are working to emulate Christ’s love and compassion in your life today. Are you living the spiritual life that others desire to emulate? Examine yourself and determine where there stands a need for improvement and seek God’s wise counsel in how to grow and strengthen your faith.
People are watching you. They are learning how to live. You owe it to God, to yourself, and to others to live righteously and well.
~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~
Heavenly Father, help me be honorable in my dealings with my fellow neighbors. Help me emulate Christ in my life today. Allow me to be the light others need. An example of divine grace and compassion. Let my words and behaviors reflect my faith and love toward you. Let me be a living testimony toward others of your divine love and grace. Forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Father take over, “I” make a mess of it all, even if whatever “I” do or not do, appears as good, and me thinking so!
