A man’s heart deviseth his way: But the Lord directeth his steps
~ Proverbs 16: 9, KJV ~

Our plans, goals, desires will always be a conflict of interest when it compares to God’s plan and will for our lives. Too many times have we stepped out in error thinking that what we desired to accomplish was part of God’s plan when it was our own desires. This is due to our nature of wanting control over our own lives. To walk in our own will. It also means we want to have things accomplished according to our own timeline. Yet, we fail to bring our desires to God and seek His own wisdom and counsel to see if it fits within His plans for our lives. This is part of trusting God completely when we give our lives and will over to His care. It includes consulting Him before we make any decisive move on our part.

This includes forgiving ourselves of the past and coming to a place of forgiving those whom harmed us. Our plans to move forward will always be based on our trust and counsel of our Heavenly Father. As we learn to trust in Him we may experience comfort and peace. We may find wisdom and know that He is understanding and we develop a greater awareness for His plans for us.

Let us be obedient to His word and walk in the knowledge of Christ that as we continue to submit our will and lives over to God’s divine sovereign care, we may gain wisdom and know the plans that He has for us.

~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, help me gain wisdom and insight to continue submitting over to your will. This includes bringing my plans, goals, and desires before thee and consult with you regarding your plans for my life. In Jesus Name, Amen.
