It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make inquiry
~ Proverbs 20:25, KJV ~
Being a disciple of Jesus Christ we are called into a life of discipline. This includes being diligent, do all things in moderation (see, Philippians 4:5), and develop a spiritual life where we mature. Temptations abound all around us. Calling us to behave in the same fashion as the world dictates. These are powerful enticements that call for us to behave in undisciplined ways. Fall into the traps of unrighteousness. Sometimes, we fall into these temptations because of impulsivity.
The Holy Scriptures are clear and distinct in how we are to live in the world without being of the world (see, John 17:14-15, KJV). This is because we are called out of the world. Set apart. Anointed by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit. We are to discipline our very thoughts and actions to conform to Godly Wisdom and Righteousness. The Scriptures gives plenty of warning to each one of us concerning impulsive behavior. God is just and we must be just.
~Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~
Heavenly Father, I recognize that I am capable of being impulsive. I ask that your Spirit reminds me to slow down and calm myself in order to make wise decisions that reflect your character. Each day I face temptations and ask that you help me recognize those snares. In Jesus Name, Amen.

When one is set apart it is not by one trying to be set apart, one is set apart and not of self. When one begins to want to in belief to.
One does start out in the trying, only to come to the end of their self, and see the need for God to lead, and not just be in them. living God’s life through them.
Willing to be dead, to be alive, that is not understood at first.
So do not stop trying to do this good, to see the need to let go of the self, and the rest of the world.
Hebrews 4:9-13, explain this truth, when Father decides to see it.
Galatians 6:8-9 do the very same, yet read it from verse 1
Discerning the truth over the error, going after the Gold, forsaking the Fools Gold
I can’t do it, never could, I could get nine out of Ten, but not all Ten, Therefore I need the Lord to lead. not just be in me
