~ July 5, 2020 – Morning Devotion ~

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.
~ Ephesians 2:13-14, KJV ~

Do you find yourself at peace? Is there direction and purpose in your life? As Christians, we have peace through Jesus Christ. We also have a sense of meaning and purpose that gives us direction on how to navigate these troubled times. This is a genuine peace that is available to each one of us. It comes when we cultivate our relationship with Jesus Christ. Nothing else brings peace into our lives. Nothing else gives us the genuine sense of direction we need. Nothing else provides us with a sense of meaning and purpose. Yet, we allow ourselves to be robbed of the peace and purpose Christ bestowed upon us through His infinite atonement.

This is a lasting and eternal peace that gives us confidence, wisdom, and empowerment to endure. It is different than the false sense of security and peace that the world may offer us. Instead of chasing after our illusion of happiness – let us chase after the reality and truth that is found in Jesus Christ.

Today, give yourself the gift of peace and purpose Christ’s atonement provides. Inner peace is our spiritual birthright that we are able to claim.

~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, I claim the peace that is my spiritual birthright through Jesus Christ. As I claim this peace, let me find my purpose in following your will and help me walk in obedience. Grant me the serenity to know that you are God and Sovereign and through you, I am able to face these troubled times. I pray that through my hands, your will be accomplished. Let the peace that surpasses all understanding shine brightly to draw others unto you so that they may taste of the fruit from the Tree of Life and share in finding peace and purpose through Jesus Christ. In His holy name, Amen.

  1. Thanks for the reminder, of that peace that I can not fathom, yet have it, thanks to God Father and Son as Won for us to be given this truth
While going through, I see to just go through it, being led, how to, by Faith to alone in the done work of Son, includes the risen Life to stand ion trust to see it happen, not understanding how it will. Just knowing in Spirit and Truth, I will get through it!
I neede the reminders, as you just did that, thankl you as we all get through it
