God’s Sovereign Reign

~July 3, 2020 – Morning Devotional ~

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
~ Proverbs 3:6 ~

Discipleship begins when we acknowledge God’s sovereign reign over our lives. This does not mean our Heavenly Father will always reveal Himself as clearly or immediately as we may like. However, our assurance is not in revealing himself to us. Our faith and assurance on Christ and Heavenly Father rests on experiencing their presence and know that they are reigning in our hearts and minds. Through the comfort of the Spirit, we listen for that still small voice – every guiding us and directing our paths. Our faith is one of acknowledgment of Christ’s supremacy and reign.

Heavenly Father desires to use us in amazing ways. He wants to walk with us on our path and journey back to His presence. The challenge before us is to seek Him daily. To listen carefully, to learn, and to follow. God becomes responsible for our lives when we place full trust and faith in Him. Scripture declares that He will be faithful and never forsake us or lead us astray.

~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, I come to you and place my life into your hands. Not by my will but thy will be done. Direct me. Lead me. Guide me as I watch and listen for your guiding counsel. You reign over all things and as I walk in obedience to your divine good will and pleasure, study your word, seek you – I shall find confidence and assurance in your grace and wisdom. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  1. So many a time, I thought this or that, and found out, it was not that. Woe is me and thankful, Father and Son as Won (One) for me and all the world, has got my back, front sides, and ups and downs.
Ready to straighten me out, in my judging thoughts that enter my mind.
That sound as if are from me, when many a times these are not.
Discerning, truth of every thing over errors of this world I am in, that has Pride and guilt in the way of me being freed from things.
Father, I do not know how you will do what needs done in me, yet I know somehow, you will, I do not need to know how, for needing to know , gets me messed up
    as in Gal. 6
Galatians 6:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

It appears to me: All one has to do is try not to do. Hmm as only Father can reveal truth to each of us
