For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:10, KJV
We need money to live. Yet, as Christians, our desire and focus ought not to be on the material wealth needed to increase. Our central focus is Jesus Christ. Money is merely an instrument and should never be more than an instrument. When we fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, we are focused on the spiritual and not on the material.
Yet, if our love moves from God to money and material gain – and we yield to the temptation of loving money more than loving God – we fall into various temptations and sin. We lose our very souls in the process. We become enslaved and servants to the almighty dollar and never servants to our Almighty and Sovereign God.
Liberating ourselves from the love and devotion of money and material wealth – we are disciplining ourselves to rely on God. And, what if God blesses us with an increase? We are to bless others as God has blessed us.
~Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~
Heavenly Father, as you have blessed me, help me bless those whom you bring into my life. With thy Spirit, use me as a means to meet their needs as a blessing of your love and grace. For as you have shown me mercy and grace, I too show those who are struggling the same grace and mercy. Let my eyes be forever fixed on you and not the material wealth of this world. I have a greater reward and wealth laid up in thy Kingdom. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
When too and when not too.
Discernment when, where, how, not why, is the key to seeing what is good for pothers, not me.
Ecclesiastes, reveals these truth’s when too and when not too.
There is a time for every season in doing and not doing
So asking God Father of in risen Son tells me, regardless of what others do or not do.
Yes, Father by Son the two as Won (One) fpr me and you along with all the world, has blessed everyone, by Son in his one time death of flesh and blood. For us to turn to him in beleif, Son is risen, for us to be risen also.
What better gift can be given? Than new life to stand in, by the risen Savior for us to be translated to Father where new life in Spirit and Truth begin
As the People got fed, having no money, to use to get food. Christ supplied, Everything for Life (New) to come and be in them, those that will not deny God, get this gift given them
Luke 16:1-13
The unrighteousness of us all, is told there in that story. When I get to see, I am about to be fired and not have work to get me by, what do I, you and every person do, is the key in that story, to me at least
Read that story of the unrighteous servant, I am guilty of this, myself, already past, and I see that, so what to do in future over this? When it happens again or about to!
Do I, we or you, turn to others as that man did?
I note this too, His Lord commended him for doing what he did? Who was his Lord then at that time?
Was it God Jesus saying that to him or was it his Boss (Lord) at that time?
I do not think it was Lord Jesus that complimented him in doing what he did, do you?
Me Learning not to let go of beleif to God to see me through it all and you too, along with the rest of the world
For he did die once for all, according to 1 john 2:1-2
Thank you again Brother being led to see and willing to see
