Crucified with Christ

~July 1, 2020 – Morning Devotion~

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Galatians 6:14, KJV

Christ carried our burdens. Our sorrows. Our weaknesses. Our fears. He carried, above all else, our sins. The whole panoramic scene of Him entering into the Garden of Gethsemane. His betrayal. The trial he faced. The scourge and torture. The cross our Savior had to bear. The overwhelming stress and weight of it all brought the Son of God to his knees in humble submission to the will of the Father. His purpose? To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39).

Let us approach the throne of God in humble submission. Quietness of mind and heart. Devoting ourselves in praise and worship with eternal gratitude for the gift of the Infinite Atonement through Jesus Christ. His sacrifice provided a way for us to enter into the Kingdom of God. Today, let us be mindful of the humility Christ shown in submission to the will of the Father. Let his humility be our humility. Let us not boast in our own pride and will. Boast in gratitude and praise for the Divine gift of immortality and eternal life. Through Christ, we are saved.

~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, I come with humility and praise – thanksgiving for sending your son to provide the sacrifice so that I may return to your kingdom. Help me understand the suffering he experienced and how it relates to my continued spiritual growth as I seek to submit myself over to your will and desire daily. In all thanksgiving and praise – Amen.

  1. I see I need to be Co-crucified with Jesus unto my own death, and see to be held alive physically to tell others of your unfathomable love to flesh itself
