What a difference it makes

~ June 30, 2020 – Evening Devotional ~

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
~ 1 Peter 1:8-9, KJV ~

As we make our pilgrimage through this life and focusing on growing spiritually – we come to understand and know that our faith is not separated from everyday life. It is not enough to hear the voice and instructions of God. It is our responsibility to heed those instructions and live by them. There is powerful virtue and value in living out the instructions and guidance of a Sovereign God. It is required of us to tune into the Holy Spirit and listen for the still small voice.

As we begin to assimilate our faith into our everyday lives, our Heavenly Father honors our good deeds as our good deeds honor Him. Let us act in accordance to the conscience he has placed on our hearts. Not being idle and unproductive. We, as Christians, bear a responsibility to thrust our sickle and work to reap the harvest (see Revelation 14:15). When we do, our Heavenly Father will bestow upon us a bountiful harvest.

~Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, let my hands work according to your will. Teach me to be still and wait upon you and your instructions. Fill me with the courage to follow through with your guiding light and direct my paths all my days. As I work according to your good will and pleasure, let your blessings fill my life with an abundance of grace and mercy. In Jesus Name, Amen.
