Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever
~Psalm 23:5-6, KJV ~
Either we are seeking after the riches and blessings of the Kingdom of Heaven, or we are chasing after the riches and fame of this world. Christ blesses us when we follow him on a daily basis. Our Christian faith and discipleship is blessed with an abundant life. This is the gift of the great Shepherd. Our desire to follow him is also our willful obedience to His divine will. It is through our unreserved and faithful obedience that we are blessed by God’s divine sovereign grace to live out an abundant life. This begins when we seek out the true salvation found through Jesus Christ.
Once we have found favor in God’s sight, through his Son, Jesus Christ, we are moved to seek the kingdom of God on a continued basis. This is our spiritual journey and discipline. We have a right to claim God’s Joy and Peace where there is spiritual abundance offered to all of God’s children.
We enter in intimate divine relationship with Jesus Christ and receive His love and protection. We sit and dine at the table with the Savior. Each one of us given personal attention to sovereign grace. All the while our enemies look on. Through Christ, we find fulfillment where we derive meaning and purpose. We come to understand and know who we are. And, we reach out and serve other people.
Let us receive the good gift of Christ’s love and mercy as we seek after the Kingdom of Heaven.
~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~
Heavenly Father, I seek after thy kingdom. I come to thee to bequest the blessings of an abundant life through your Son, Jesus Christ. To you, I enjoined my heart, spirit, mind, and strength. As I seek thy kingdom, bless me with the gift of an abundance of life through Jesus Christ, Amen.
Thanks, as I seek, sought the new Heart in the risen Christ given us, Ez 36:26
Done in the risen One for us to be new in, with that new Heart
Thanks Timothy
