That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friends influence us in ways that are subtle and powerful. We must ensure that the friendships we cultivate are pleasing unto God. This is because we tend to become like our friends. The genuine friendships we desire are those that help us to honor God. They are the type of friendships that help us make a significant spiritual influence and impact. These friendships hold us accountable before God where we receive personal direction, guidance, wisdom, counsel, and correction.
It is when those friendships that place us in situations where we are tempted to dishonor God through disobedience that we need to step away from.
As we spend our days in the fellowship of others, we are being blessed, encouraged, uplifted, and cared for.

Heavenly Father, let my friendships honor you. Keep me mindful so that I am always your servant in every aspect of my life. As a worthy servant, help me cultivate those healthy friendships with other believers. And, may your love and grace shine through me this day.
