For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Feast upon the words of Christ – 2 Nephi 32:3

The words of Christ are not like any other. The purpose of scripture is to bring all men unto Christ. To prepare them as holy heirs within the Kingdom of God. It is through feasting upon Christ’s words that we follow the example of our Redeemer. We fulfill God’s purpose when we walk in the way Christ has established. Ministered as Christ has ministered. Grow in faith and preserver as Christ has.

The scriptures are a priceless gift unto us as they share with us the message of hope. Of faith. Of fellowship and spiritual growth. We learn from the characters of Godly men and women who have faithfully served God in obedience and fellowship.

Unfortunately, many Christians today keep their spiritual tool box closed and out of sight. Jonathan Edwards remarks “Be assiduous in reading the Holy Scriptures. This is the fountain whence all knowledge in divinity must be derived. Therefore let not this treasure lie by you neglected.”

Let us handle Christ’s words with great care. Seek personal revelation as we struggle and grow in faith. Learn to walk in humility and obedience to God’s will. Let us feast upon Christ’s words every day in order to make a significant spiritual impact and influence.

~ Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, the scriptures are a priceless possession. As I search the scriptures, seek thy divine counsel and wisdom, allow me to gain personal testimony and revelation in how to apply them into my life today. Let thy words from the Ancient prophets and apostles lead me as you guide me through today.
