But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
~ 1 Peter 2:9, ESV ~
Spiritual growth and maturation includes living according to established values. We choose to align ourselves to those values and strive to live accordingly. Because of this, we are not sitting passively, nor failing to live up to those values, in our spiritual growth. This calls us to think about whether we are reacting to a predicament or responding to a predicament.
Having a reaction is an adverse experience. On the contrary, responding to an adverse experience is where growth and progression resides. If we consistently react, versus responding, we are in danger of adding to our own personal misery and acting indifferent to established values and beliefs. However, when we are responding, we are more hopeful and wholesome in how we live out our values and beliefs.
This is the reason we are called out of our personal darkness. A life solely based on being reactive in situations, toward others, and we find ourselves in dismay. However, now that we are called into a Holy Priesthood, we have an obligation to live according to those values that reflect God’s excellence and sovereignty. We are chosen to respond to His grace, love, and mercy. By this, we live in response to those spiritual values that express the nature and character of our Heavenly Father.
Today, let us learn to be more responsive rather than reactive to adverse situations. Through our responsiveness, we are living according to the spiritual values that reflect the nature and truth of God.
You got that right from the source God Father in spirit and truth, Amen Brother
Responding I am the creation, not the leader to react badly to God or others. As we all born here as well as all that have been, not one of us I know of ever asked to be born here or did we?
I do not think so, our parents did or maybe not, but by the puberty, here we each are.
This life here is not long at all, if one compares that to eternity that has no more pain or sorrow in it. So let’s just do good, not think about how to, just do it as the Just only live by Faith (Belief) \
