Abide in Christ always

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

~ John 15:4, ESV ~

There is a reason we are called to empty ourselves out. Prior to our new life in Christ, we lived in doubt, fear, and may have even engaged in self-destructive behaviors. Yet, after we came to faith and received Christ’s love and atoning sacrifice, we were left with some questions.

Now what? Is this all there is?

How do I live?

How am I able to feel whole?

How am I able to become a real person?

These questions strike at the heart of our new identity. All we are asked to do is to simply abide in Christ. These questions are not new. They are not unique. We find the answers when we pick up the scriptures, prayerfully meditate on the words, and seek God’s divine will and revelation for our daily lives.

As we abide in Christ, He will fill us with his spirit and He abides in us always.
