Worthy in the eyes of God

I am not worthy of the least of all the deeds of steadfast love and all the faithfulness that you have shown to your servant…

~ Genesis 32:10, ESV ~

True humility begins when we are no longer shaming or inflating ourselves and begin accepting ourselves as Godly men and women. We are no better, or no worse, than any other person. In the sight of Our Heavenly Father, we all are equal. We are brother’s and sisters in Christ.

How much time do we waste in thinking we are not good enough? Or, they are too good for me? How often are we committed to the idea we are undeserving in some way? If we are more focused on status, we will tend to view ourselves as being unworthy in the eyes of God.

This is most likely because of the shaming culture and it’s corrupt influence on how individuals perceive their sense of worth. It is a cancerous and toxic viewpoint. It has created a caste system whereby individuals see their sense of worth by a biological-social-economical status. There are faux-commandments we tend to adhere to that are not scriptural, nor spiritually enlightening and empowering. Even political divisions have become cancerous and toxic in shaming individuals. What this leads to is victimizing and persecuting one another. More importantly, it leads to victimizing and persecuting our own selves and sense of worth.

God is not a respecter of persons when it comes to calling us out. Where we see ourselves as being unworthy, He sees us for our true sense of worth and value.
