Without complaining

Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

~ Philippians 2:14-15, ESV ~

Our natural tendency is to complain about life. Whether it is a minor inconvenience and annoyance, or, a difficult situation. We complain. We shift our focus from those blessings we’ve received. However, recovery demands we shift our thoughts, shift our minds, and shift our hearts to something greater. Our tendency is to complain about minor frustrations of everyday life and  recovery. This causes a significant roadblock to spiritual maturity and a healthy recovery lifestyle.

no-complaining

Each day, let us keep our minds and hearts focused on what matters most. Realize and accept daily frustrations and annoyances as part of life. As we do this, we avoid those trappings that may bring us back to our need for immediate relief. Instead, we find a more peaceful and decent way of living out an authentic life.

Your Daily Recovery Walk Through Proverbs

~ Proverbs 9:3 ~

Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you;
    reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
